Recently, the 2024 Shenyang Cheongsam Cultural Week began as scheduled in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, with the arrival of early autumn.

Shenyang, known as the “Ancient Capital of Cheongsam”, continues to pass down the Cheongsam culture. The 2024 Shenyang Cheongsam Cultural Week included various Cheongsam-themed activities. The China Customized Cheongsam Art Exhibition displayed Cheongsam designs by 16 top designers, with a special runway set up by the organizers at Wharf 9 on the Hunhe River to showcase these exquisite Cheongsams. The outdoor cheongsam fashion show displayed the works of young clothing designers from Liaoning at iconic cultural landmarks in Shenyang, including the Octagonal Pavilion on Zhongjie Street, the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation Aviation Expo Park, the North Market, and the 1905 Re-Creative Space.

In addition to the Cheongsam fashion show, various “Cheongsam+” cultural events drew a large crowd. These included a photo and literature exhibition titled “Tracing the Roots: Exploring Ancient Capital of Cheongsam”, a photo exhibition showcasing Cheongsam’s evolution over time, and an exhibition highlighting Cheongsam-themed creative cultural designs. These exhibitions provided valuable insights into the historical development of the Cheongsam in Shenyang and the world of Cheongsam-themed creative cultural products.

In recent years, Shenyang has been holding Cheongsam Cultural Weeks annually to bring together Cheongsam design talents, display regional cultural characteristics, and enhance the city’s fame, reputation, and influence.
