On December 18th, Embracing Ice and Snow – 2024 Liaoning Ice and Snow Tour for International Cultural Tourism Agencies and Media Representatives held in Benxi City, Liaoning Province. Participants visited the world-famous Benxi Water Cave and the unique Xiaoshi Yizhuang, enjoying natural scenery while tasting authentic Liaoning cuisine.
Benxi Water Cave, a natural karst cave formed millions of years ago, is renowned for its magnificent and mysterious beauty. Inside the cave, stalagmites stand tall like forests, stone curtains hang gracefully, and stalactites appear in various shapes, resembling a natural underground palace. Illuminated by lights, every scene inside the cave shimmers beautifully, giving breathtaking views to visitors. Peini Toh from Malaysia Sabah See Hua Daily News said excitedly, “Benxi Water Cave is stunning! The scenery here makes one feel like I am in a dreamlike underground kingdom. I love these naturally formed landscapes very much since they allow me to feel the magic and greatness of nature.”
Xiaoshi Yizhuang is a comprehensive scenic area that integrates tourism, leisure, dining, and entertainment. Here, people can enjoy beautiful rural sceneries, visit distinctive folk houses, and taste authentic Liaoning cuisine. Dishes such as sour cabbage stewed with goose, sweet bean curd, and delicious grilled fish have garnered praise from the visitors. Mabel, Assistant Manager at Paul’s Kitchen from the Czech Republic, said, “The cuisine of Liaoning is truly unforgettable! I’ve tried many dishes here that I’ve never eaten before. And they are all very delicious, especially the sour cabbage stewed with goose, whose rich flavor is truly memorable.”
The magnificent natural landscapes and the rich cultural heritage of Liaoning’s winter tourism have left deep impressions on foreign friends. And “hoping to visit Liaoning again” has become a common wish among them.
