On March 30, China Eastern Airlines Flight MU6339, painted in “Glorious Chinese Red”, received a water salute, the highest honor in civil aviation field, at Shenyang Taoxian International Airport. It marked the first official arrival of the domestically produced C919 large aircraft in Northeast China.

The C919 is China’s first trunkliner aircraft developed in accordance with the latest international airworthiness standards. Many components of the aircraft were made in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, with AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Co Ltd., as one of the key suppliers, undertaking the manufacturing tasks of the front section of the rear fuselage, APU doors, vertical fin, and engine pylon work package for the C919 project.
