As the river flows in spring and peach blossoms bloom, French guests from afar come to Liaoning Province. World Breaking Championship winner Camille Regneault and renowned French breaking dancer M. Ramy Aggoun arrived in Shenyang City to engage in a dynamic breaking battle with students from Shenyang Sport University.

On March 27, the “Rhythm of China and France, Dance Shadows in Liaoning” Breaking Carnival was held at Shenyang Sport University. The event was hosted by the Liaoning Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Liaoning Provincial Youth Federation, and Consulate General of the Republic of France in Shenyang, and organized by Shenyang Sport University and Liaoning Provincial Dancers Association.

Luo Li, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Liaoning Province and President of the Liaoning Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, attended the event and delivered a speech. Luo emphasized that Liaoning Province, China and France enjoy a profound history of exchanges and cooperation, marked by close economic and trade ties and fruitful cultural interactions. She stated that this breaking carnival once again highlights the mutual learning and shared inspiration between China and France through cultural integration.

The performance venue buzzed with energy as upbeat music filled the air. Breaking dancers from the Liaoning Provincial Street Dance Alliance, Shenyang Sport University, and France delivered fiery, dynamic routines that electrified the crowd. Youth dancers from both countries took turns showcasing their skills, and their high-difficulty moves earned thunderous applause from the audience. The breaking carnival marked the opening chapter of this year’s dance exchanges between Liaoning Province, China and France. This April, a Sino-French contemporary dance performance and exchange event is scheduled to take place in Shenyang.
