On June 10, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held the thirtieth press conference of the series titled “Making Breakthroughs for Revitalization, and Striving for Decisive Achievements”, presenting the important plans, major tasks, and specific measures conducted by the Yingkou Municipal People’s Government.
From January to April, the city commenced or resumed 419 projects, completing 14.45 billion yuan in fixed asset investment, ranking third in the province. Import and export volume reached 12.15 billion yuan, ranking the third place provincially. Industrial added value of enterprises above designated size grew by 11.8%, ranking fourth in the province.
Yingkou’s private economy developed robustly, with private sector entities accounting for 97% of the total and contributing 80.3% of tax revenue. The city took efforts to accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, with 30 scientific and technological achievements implemented citywide and technology contract turnover reaching 680 million yuan, marking a 13.3% increase. High-quality enterprises were fostered rapidly, with 230 newly registered technology-based SMEs, 16 new “young eagle” enterprises, and 4 new “gazelle” enterprises added.
The integrated development of “port-industry-city” has seen 137 key projects commence or resume construction, with cumulative fixed investment of 7.32 billion yuan. Yingkou Port has achieved a total throughput of 68.333 million tonnes, including 1.838 million TEU containers. The city has pioneered an innovative four-dimensional development model integrating housing, cultural tourism, health care and employment. It also launched a series of promotional activities under the theme of “Yingkou: Where Rivers Embrace the Sea”, strengthened the brand of “Travel with the Events”, and hosted sporting events and mass fitness activities including the 2025 Yingkou-Bayuquan Marathon.
Yingkou will make every effort to stabilize foreign investment and trade, continuously promote 13 proposed investment projects including Astron to secure funding as soon as possible, and encourage Yingkou Medium Plate to expand export scale.
