The Public Service Department of the Liaoning Provincial Museum was recently awarded the “Liaoning Provincial Women’s Model Post” by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security. Currently, the Public Service Department has 26 staff members, 24 of whom are women. For many years, the department has been consistently upholding the selfless spirit of dedication and actively participating in public welfare activities.

As the main channel connecting the museum with its visitors, the Public Service Department is responsible for guided tours, social education programs, lectures, mobile services, and volunteer management. The female staff members of this department demonstrate remarkable dedication, often sacrificing holidays to provide enthusiastic service to every visitor. From 2023 to 2024, the department received a total of 4.997 million visits, offered 25,326 guided tours, and held 1,222 online and offline public-benefit events.

The Public Service Department has also considerately planned cultural and museum promotion events for different groups, and launched branded educational activities such as “Celebrating the Chinese New Year in Liaobo”, “Botan Yaji”, “Good Courses Today”, “I’m a National Treasure Storyteller”, and “I’m a Little Museum Researcher”. These activities have attracted over 3 million participants online and offline, spreading Liaoning’s history and culture to the wider public.

Over the past two years, the department has been awarded more than 20 national and provincial honorary titles, and many of its guides have also won national and provincial honors.
