Liaoning Ensures High-Quality Development of Tourism Through Two Primary Principles
2024-02-07

On February 7, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference, introducing the efforts made by the public security authorities in Liaoning to ensure the high-quality development of tourism.

Adhering to the two primary principles of “safety” and “service”, the public security authorities in Liaoning will strengthen their social-level patrol, prevention, and control efforts. They will fortify protection in areas characterized by concentrated tourism consumption activities and respond swiftly and efficiently to various emergencies. Tourist attractions and scenic spots, serving as pivotal locations, will witness standardized handling procedures, prompt police dispatch, and timely follow-up visits in response to reported cases. Moreover, efforts will be intensified to alleviate urban traffic congestion and disorder, ensuring the smooth operation of subways, buses, and other public transportation systems. Comprehensive traffic control measures will be implemented in tourist areas to guarantee traffic safety and smooth road conditions during the peak tourism season in their jurisdiction. For large-scale cultural and tourism events in Liaoning, tailored security arrangements are in place to provide support for activity organization, with timely advance involvement aimed at completely ensuring the safe and well-regulated proceeding of all cultural and tourism undertakings.

Furthermore, the public security authorities in Liaoning will focus on a concentrated crackdown on food crimes that fail to meet safety standards, while also intensifying their fight against crimes associated with counterfeit and shoddy products within the tourism industry. These measures aim to create an environment where both tourists and residents can have a worry-free experience, dine with reassurance, and enjoy a pleasant shopping experience. In cooperation with transportation, cultural, and tourism authorities, the public security authorities will strengthen oversight of the tourism market to curb irregularities, undertaking rectification actions against scalpers, illegal operators, unlicensed tour guides, unregistered vendors, and deceptive practices.
