The 23rd Dalian International Walking Festival kicked off in Dalian City, Liaoning Province recently. The two-day event that combines sports, culture, and tourism has attracted more than 100,000 hiking enthusiasts from over 20 countries and regions worldwide.

The festival has been successfully held for 22 editions, attracting over 4.3 million participants in total. It has become a significant platform for showcasing the city’s vitality and promoting international exchanges.

This year’s walking festival features one main venue in downtown Dalian and nine satellite venues in its suburban areas. The main route spans 30 kilometers, passing through landmarks such as Xinghai Square and Binhai Road, with medical stations and supply points along the way. Participants can choose from 5 km, 10 km, 20 km and 30 km walking activities.
