On May 29, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference to introduce details about the Second Liaoning International Friendship Cities Conference.

This year’s conference is themed “Across Mountains and Seas, Friendship Cities March Together.” On June 12, the Friendship Cities Cultural and Tourism Exhibition, along with themed promotional and business matchmaking activities, will grandly commence. The exhibition area is divided into three main sections: international exhibition area, domestic exhibition area, and intangible cultural heritage demonstration area, featuring nearly 100 booths. Representatives from 44 regional governments, chambers of commerce, and outstanding enterprises from 15 countries across five continents will bring visitors distinctive and diverse cultural experiences from around the world. Outstanding cultural and tourism enterprises within the province, along with intangible cultural heritage inheritors, will comprehensively showcase the historical culture, natural scenery, folk arts, tourism resources, and specialty products from various regions across Liaoning.

On June 13, the Second Liaoning International Friendship Cities Conference will officially open. The opening ceremony will culminate with a signing ceremony for major cooperative achievements. Witnessed by guests from various countries and sectors, Liaoning Province and relevant cities, together with cultural and tourism enterprises, will sign friendship city agreements, establish letters of intent for friendly cooperative partnerships, and conclude a series of project cooperation agreements in the cultural and tourism fields with foreign representatives.

During the conference, guests will visit the Shenyang Imperial Palace and the Liaoning Provincial Museum to experience historical cultural relics and feel the millennium-old cultural heritage. Through these immersive experiences, guests will develop a deeper and more authentic understanding of Liaoning’s cultural foundation and tourism resources, further enhancing their appreciation and recognition of Liaoning, and creating greater possibilities for broader future cooperation.
